Sounds promising if correct and we see the 20% cut...

Sony may cut earnings outlook on recall
By Financial Times reporters

The fallout from Sony’s global recall of faulty batteries worsened on Tuesday, as the Japanese consumer electronics maker warned the debacle could force it to cut its fiscal year earnings forecast and said it would recall some batteries used in its own laptops sold in Japan.

Sony also said its decision last month to cut the price of the PlayStation 3 video-game console by 20 per cent when it debuts in Japan might affect its earnings guidance. The company is pinning its hopes for a successful turnround of its flagging fortunes on the success of the PS3, which already has been hit by production glitches and the delay of the console’s launch in Europe.
