PS3 price drop?

Is there about to be a huge price drop across the board? I've just seen it for £229 in free delivery...two weeks after I bought mine :rolleyes:

You honestly think the PS3 is only worth £180? You can't even get a blu-ray player that cheap let alone one with the ability to play games :/

Dont know why people get so concerned about backwards compatibility .... i mean thats why you bought a next-gen console? ps2 games look worse on the ps3 anyway. There might have been a case for this early on because there wasnt many ps3 games out...but its looking much healthier now.

buy a cheap ps3 - swap out the HDD for a 250gig monster (which you might be needing anyway : see PlayTV thingy) and it doesnt affect the warranty status neither. Sorted.......

I'm guessing it's because the PS3 doesn't have much of a games library, I'm perfectly fine with not having b/c, when I did have a 60Gb I used it once for God of War 2 which I could have just popped in my PC and used an emulator for.

Just bought one 2nd hand yesterday for £250 with 2 games :/ But atleast its 2 months old and in mint condition I suppose!

I don't want a blu-ray player though, would just want it for the games, not the movies.

Nah I want some sort of warranty, once bitten and all that. The 60's have become way to expensive.

I'm happy to wait til some news comes out about the 80's.

I don't think the 80 will appear anytime soon - the most likely opportunity for it to make an appearance was in a MGS4 bundle but that’s now been confirmed as a 40gb with Six Axis at the Playstation Day.
