Ps3 Problem , Any Advice ?

My mates playstation froze in the middle of a game lastnight so i turned it off by the main gave it a min and turned it back on and now there is no picture and the tv says no signal but the playstation is on and once it is on i cant turn it off by the power button what would that be if you could tell me what i need to do with it that would be great it is the old 60 gig one cheers :mad:

All i can suggest is hold the power button when you switch it on until you hear a second beep. This second beep signals that the PS3 has reset its video settings and, assuming there's nothing physically wrong with it, it will then work.

but since it froze the controllers wont reconct for some reason they just flash ?

I mean hold the power button on the console. If that doesn't work there's a way to get into a recovery console that i've forgotten but i'll try to find out how to do it again.

Mine done this last week,try pulling the plugs for your tv & ps3 from the mains socket.Switch back on after a minute or so, keep finger on the power button until you hear the second beep & let go

This worked for me,hope it helps
