PS3 problem!!

When i try load games i downloaded from the psn store the screen just stays black blurays games works fine like SF4. I tried reformatting the hard-drive but the problem still happens.
btw its a asia launch ps3

any solutions?

Have you tried resetting the video settings? Hold the power button for three seconds when you switch it on and it'll beep a second time. Then reconfigure your video settings and try.

If that fails iirc there's a 'reset to factory default' option of sorts somewhere in the options menu.

If that fails there's some form of fancy hidden PS3 menu that you can access on boot, someone else will have to tell you how to do that though.

I wouldn't panic, it sounds like a config issue, not a hardware issue. Should be possible to fix somehow.

Few Questions
Has it always done this? Have you tried on a different TV?

nope just recently i think last time i loaded stardust was 2 weeks ago i only noticed this when i tried running marvel vs capcom 2 and kungfu ragdoll
then i tried running the other games and got the same problem

Maybe there's some sort of region coding in them?
I assume neither came from an Asian PS Store?

came from both US and UK store, all my other games worked like pain, tekken 5, unless they region locked it

EDIT

Just tried to restore the file system and found out it was corrupted, so I'm going to try a full fomat and see if that will fix the problem
