PS3 Promised for Taipae Games Event

Read it more carefully.

Held between February 16th to 20th it's unknown whether the Playstation3 will sit there idly in display cases as it did at the recent Consumer Electronics Show, or perhaps make a more significant appearance with the possibility of playable demonstrations.

I would like to think so, they really need to get something out before e3. A 12 month turnaround with nothing new would go a long way to harming their reputation.
 
Nah i doubt it will make an appearance, they might announce a time for a global debut at the playstation conference later this month (think its just after Taipae)
I think Taiwan would be a bit silly to make the global announcement, it aint really a market, it so not a market the worldwide launch of xbox 360, didnt even make it to Taiwan :p
 
Expect more pre-rendered footage and possibly a couple of scripted action sequences.

Doubt we'll be seeing much more than that.
