PS3 question...

Im new to ps3's so just wanted to check that it's normal that once i play a game that the ps3 drops down to 720p output even though ive selected 1080p output in the settings (It's 1080p in xmb but once you load a game it drops down).

I know that most ps3 games are natively rendered at 720p so just wanted to make sure that it is a normal occurence.

Yep, tis normal. Way around it would be to do a custom setup within the Display options and makre sure only 1080P is ticked. Obviously everything would then run upscaled rather than it's native resolution.

But if the game doesn't support 1080 it will drop down to SD if 720P isn't ticked, so best just to tick whatever is supported and let your TV handle the scaling.
