PS3 questions on sound/DVI-HDMI

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on buying the Samsung SM 226BW 22" monitor to which I will be hooking up my PS3...

1. Can someone recommend a good DVI-HDMI cable?
2. I'm aware that DVI doesn't sound, how do I get sound from the PS3 through my hi-fi?

your ps3 should have come with a lead that plugs in to that multi out port with a composite video and stereo rca connections on the end - use that. before you ask yep, you can use that and hdmi for the video at the same time

Ha, you're right, can't believe I missed that!

Is the quality likely to suffer because it's a PC monitor?

As the samsung doesn't have 1:1 pixel mapping the picture will appear ever so slightly stretched (basically a TV is 16:9 and a monitor is 16:10, so it's 1/9th larger on the vertical scale).
