'PS3 Robbery Suspect Killed by Police'

There's more to this case than is detailed surely. The police wouldn't of shot the teen and his dog unless they had a good reason. The dog may of been attacking the police, and the article may not of been accurate specifying how the teen behaved.

Now the new system has claimed its first life

They say that as if it's the first of a string of deaths to come!

Bad, EVIL PS3. Get to your bed!

I agree though, it's highly likely there's much more to this story.

Maybe he should have thought of that before mugging some poor sap who stood in line for 2 days to get his PS3.

it just goes to show there was no need for all the outcrys of the guy that got shot in London compared to this..i mean he was in his flat with a PS3 controller not running into a previously bombed train station :|

Riddler, I doubt even the American police are incompetent enough to simply barge into a teenagers house and shoot him dead just because he answered the door with a PS3 controller in his hand. There will be a lot more to this, a bit of investigative conjecture would be perhaps threatening the police with a 'gun' with turned out to be a controller? No idea, but I assure you, the article won't be accurate.

O RLY

or is it the fact that the americans are trigger happy?
Even if that's true it's no different to any of the hundreds of similar events just because it involves a PS3.

German shepherds are dangerous dogs. I think its fair to assume it was a threat to the police.

So is a chiwawa.

Dogs are dangerous only because of the situation we put them and ourselves in. It is highly likely it was protecting its pack.

How are they dangerous dogs? think thats a rather stereotypical view you have there... depends entirely on the bringing up of it. They certainly arnt naturally aggressive.

Menezes didn't run... but it's been said so many times that he did, I see why you think it too.

Now that's just ridiculous. If you honestly believe a a Chiuaua is as dangerous as a German Shepard, then you need help.

Or to stop simply taking the side of the wrong-doer, and for once believe that the police might have reacted to a dangerous situation the best way they could.

All dog owners say that about their dogs too until one day it rips their kid's face off.

Certainly, dogs can become very close with their owners to a point that if a loada people burst through the door, making lots of noise with guns ready, i bet it naturally tried to protect its owner, as any other loyal dog would... no excuse to shoot the innocent thing... :(
