The PS3 is by far the best addition to my my entertainment system:) But I need to ask a few questions to make it even better.

How do I make a folder on my PS3 to store video files ie Movies, Cartoons etc rather than having to scroll through dozens of files.

When trying to stream vids from my pc to my PS3 my folders are empty however the same folders I can stream without any problems on my 360. The video files are compatible with the PS3 as I end up putting them on a memory stick.

Thanks

1. You can't.

2. Press triangle on the folder and I think you can 'view all', this may show the content.

Scort.

You can but it's a pain, see below:

You can do this by pointing at files, pressing triangle and changing their 'album' to whatever you want it to be (cartoons, film etc). Then press square till it organizes file by album. Quite painstaking tbh, i prefer to stick stuff on a USB harddrive as this allows me to preserve my own file structure.

What are you using to stream the files?

All I can suggest, is what I do here.

Load up your Media Player 11 on your PC, when the PS3 is on, and connected to your network.

Go to Tools\Options

Click the library tab

Click "Configure Sharing" and allow the Unknown Device (it's your PS3)

Now click on Monitor Folders, and be sure all your media folders are added.

Let Media Player scan.

Job done.

Go to your PS3 and your should see a Windows Media Player icon (or scan for media servers)

and you should be able to play your files :)

No need to install or use 3rd party apps, I've used this on my server ever since the ability to stream appeared in the firmware, and it runs great. I did try TVersity, but hated it, and saw no need for it anyway, seeing as Media Player is built in and you have it anyway.

Good luck!
