I already own a PS3, but want to buy a HDTV (rather than using it through my monitor) this leads me to a few small questions.

1. Will a cheap 32" HDTV be fine ? I don't really have room for bigger, and it will just be in a small room (not a living room) its primary purpose will be gaming - and maybe the odd blu ray movie.

Was thinking of something like:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...irai DTL-632E500 32" HD Ready Analogue LCD TV
Or
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...=OcUK Digimate LTV-3212H 32" HD Ready LCD TV

2. Can the PS3 play DIVX movies ? I did a quick google and different places told me yes, and other places told me no :/

3. 1080 P isn't really worth it for a TV under 37 inches? I keep being told this and wondered if it is true.

Thanks for anyone that can help :)

I have a HD ready samsung 32 on my ps3 and its great for gaming in my bedroom, 1080p didnt bother me as hardly any games support this and it wouldnt make too much difference being on a screen that isnt that big. The ps3 shouldnt have any problems playing DivX movies, have watched a fair few on mine.

1080p probably isn't worth it anyway, the majority of games are 720p or lower.

Maybe you should look at the new Samsung Series 4, they've all just had a price drop by about £100-200 even though they were only out this year not long ago. You can get the 32" for about the same price as the one you linked first. Samsung LE32A457 - £378

Awesome :)

A part of me really wants a larger TV 37" but honestly I don't think I have enougn room for it, and I would basically be sitting on it :p

KittenCakes -

I am going to make a note of that TV that you mentioned :)

I don't really need anything "awesome" I just need something that will look good on the PS3 games. I also have a 360, Dreamcast, Gamecube and PS1 and 2 to hook up to it, which is just a massive pain in the butt going through my monitor at the moment.

i use a hannspree 37 TV with my PS3 - works brilliantly. I paid £350 for it.
