PS3 Slim crashed twice in day ??

Hello,

I have a PS3 Slim 120Gb that i brought in September.

Within the space of a day its crashed twice !! playing COD 4 both time, it just freezes solid

Should i be worried ?? never had my 360 do this.

Just locks and have to power off and on.

Anyone else had this ??

my non slim one has done this twice on bf1943 recently . quite worrying

probably a silly question but is your pc in a confined space?, the manual quotes you should have 3-4inches of space on each side of the ps3

Personally i would take it back and get it replaced in case its a defective one (i think you only get a year warranty?), tell them its been crashing/freezing on games so is broken

I wouldn't be surprised if it isn’t the very latest firmware causing this issue, as my 60 gig hadn’t had a single lock up until I loaded it; funnily enough, this firmware (don’t recall the version – sorry!) was an optional install to solve lock ups

Just been playing COD 4 and its locked again, this time the screen went black and could not turn off with a power button had to turn off at the wall

I am worried, just my luck to break when MW 2 is out

Guess you're best bet is as Chronictank suggested, and return it to the store, out of interest, did it come with the latest firmware, or did you do the system update?

I think from memory it updated when i turned it on.

Its been fine for the rest of the afternoon

Was very hot, must be a heat issue i rekon.

Fingers crossed its all good for Tuesday lol

Try a different game. If it's crashing on the same game then that'd be my first concern.
