Hi guys.

I have just finished building a new AV system consisting of a panny v10 50 inch and an onkyo 876 av receiver. I use a 360 for gaming.

Now - I need 2 things really. A bluray player and a "streamer" for streaming my 1080p video files though my amp. I was going to get a panny player and a WDTV streamer.

Now I have noticed that the new PS3 supports HD audio etc and the price is quite attractive. I understand that through ps3mediaserver I can stream files across my hard wired network (10/100). It seems logical to just purchase a ps3 to do all this stuff.

My question however, will a ps3 slim stream 1080p h264 / MKV files on the fly over my network without hassle? Some of the files we are talking 25gig.

Thanks!

Erm... Yeah you'd think so.:D Should be just fine, PS3 Media Server could be just what you're looking for....

And, you'll also get a fairly decent blu ray player and a games console as well.. win win all round I see it for you....

I fully agree :) I just hope it is easy to set up this streaming business else I ll be annoyed ;)
