PS3 Sound Stopped working

My PS3 has suddenly stopped outputting any sound after months of working fine.

I have tried: resetting all settings, a different HDMI port on TV and a different HDMI lead.

Any Ideas?

Ok I seem to have sorted it. After much googling I found the oddest post on the exact same subject which has worked

Which is very strange becasue I had already left the power cable unplugged for a few minutes and that didn't work. So either I didn't leave the power off long enough or it was something to do cutting power to the router or TV. I wouldn't of thought so but it's working now
