PS3 Stand

Can a "fat" ps3, stand by itself, or will I have to purchase a stand for it? The disc drive makes funny noises when lying down, but when it's stood it, it's fine, and makes no noise whatsoever. It's very very bizarre.

If its stood up, and stable, then its fine. I have a 40Gb one and its perfectly ok stood up.

Yeah the fat ones were fine to stand on their sides. The slims wobble and don't like it so much.

Blah, only worked for about an hour lol, I think she is going to be have to be sent back to Sony after christmas

think the loading/spin mechanism or something to do with the disk tray is knackered or very close to it

Anyone know how I would get in contact with sony support? Email the best way ?
