Patches available for Stardust HD, Wipeout, Pain and Motorstorm Pacific Rift 3D demo. Does anyone have a 3D TV to play these? Please let us know what they are like!

There's some more details of Super Stardust's 3D implementation on the PS Blog.

It's an interesting read and its really fantastic the support this game has gotten. 3 years after release their still making such significant improvements to the game engine - taking split screen for 30fps to 60fps for example - and all for free. This was one of the first games to support trophies too, and now one of the first to do 3D. Easily one of the best £4.99 I've spent on a game.

I doubt I'll be able to try it in 3d any time soon though. :p

Might download the patch, although PS4 will probably be out by the time I get a 3D tv to try it out on.

Surely there must be shops that have 3D TVs setup with a PS3 for people to try out? Anyone know anywhere in London? I can't think many people would cough up for fancy 3D TVs without a bit of "try before you buy" :)

Played a bit at a mates. Didnt rate it tbh, although these titles i think (i dont own a PS3 so correct me) were back-patched to be 3d enabled? should (hopefully) be better if programmed from the ground up.

Or maybe its the type of game too? quite liked L4D in 3d on the PC, but i duno .. just never 'clicked' for me with these.

Yeah well. As i said i didnt find it as impressive as PC 3d gaming for some reason. Not to mention it gave me a headache (Motorstorm that is) within 30 mins. It did look nice but given the problems with the headache and how it becomes hard to focus properly (at times it became a job to try and compete!) after time.

Dont think 3d tech is really 'ready' yet, maybe next gen.

Yea, I really need to try it to get it out my system!

Well known electrical store near me has got one set up went down today and had a go it completely blew me away but the tv was over £2000 :eek.

Just back from seeing this instore, And i dont understand how you'd couldn't be happy with this. It's in 3D as promised! I can't see where it's fallen down :p

Looks well nice, Gimmicky but delivers

ive just finished playing, all the 3D games bar superstar dust, and its awesome :D motorstorm looks the best out of the 3 and gives a really good impresion on how far things are away from you, i cant wait to try killzone 3 in 3D.

Saw a demo of Motorstorm 2 in 3D today, blown away tbh.

The 3D was so amazing, the depth of field was extraordinary! It sort of looked like you were driving a real-life toy remote control car.

Im gonna have to stick with poor mans 3d for a (long?) while. Pulfrich glasses work with pretty much any video / game but unfortunatly does depend on having the scene moving at all times. Not quite the same effect as proper 3d, but the effect is still pretty good while being £4000 cheaper ;) Driving and fps games work quite well.
