Bought the PS3 new , years ago as a Blu-ray player and the kids have been using it lately, as a games machine

Apparently, they went on the Playstation store tonight to download a game but was told there was not enough space 7.5gb free of 55gb

I cant, for the life of me, see how to find out what is taking up the space - is there a location in the software to see what is installed on the hard drive?
 
Just to clarify the download problem, you need double the size of the game before it'll start downloading (it's a silly procedure, but it's now they decided to do it).

Considering the size of the hard drive, and that it's now being used for games as well you might be better off buying a larger hard drive as it'll solve the space problem for a while (until the kids have filled it up with games).
