PS3 Surround Sound ?

Hello,

I have a PS3 Slim connected to my LG 32" 1080P screen.

Love gaming and watching blue rays.

What options do i have with regards to surround sound with the PS3 ??

5.1 or 7.1 ??

Heard of plenty of different types of audio, DTS, HD digital, THX ??? what does the PS3 support.

What do games support audio wise ??

How much do i need to spend, £100, £200, £300 ???

Just any advice would be great

Have a look in the system menu's, you can pick the types of surround that you have from a list. Plug an optical toslink cable into your chosen surround system and it just works.

Depends on budget, space and the wife/significant other/mum factor.

I'd always go with separates. £300 would get a decent amp and 5.1 speaker set from a popular hi-fi dealer.

Be better if u could spec me £300 and no more.
