Ok after reading through a very large anti-sony thread i thought id make one for the ppl who WANTS the ps3. ;)

So whos ordered one im still waiting for GAME to have them, i emailed them and ive just gotten a reply eres what they said:

"Thank you for your email. PS3 is due to hit UK stores in November. We have not yet started our preorder campaign as we are awaiting confirmation of the UK retail price from Sony. To keep up to date on PS3, go to our website and the console tab, on there you will see a PS3 box. You can register your interest and receive updates from there."

So i wreckon we might be able to order in a couple weeks hopefully :) :)
 
Already got one one on pre-order with Gamestation. Doubt I'll be keeping it though, fancy making a little money.
 
i know somneone who's already placed 12 orders with 12 different shops (mad nutter) - he did the same for xbox360's and made over 3 grand in profit on ebay, and Gamestation are taking pre-orders for £425.00 although that price is subject to change
 
Whilst annoyed by the Sony hype machine (again! - it's tiresome) and the stupid pricing (which, I was expecting anyway, anyone who wasn't is naive to Sony) I have always maintained that I would get one.
 
I think theres plenty of games that i want:
FFXIII
FXIIIV2
HEAVENLY SWORD
MGS4
ASSASSINS CREED
WARHAWK
STRANGLE HOLD-actually ill probably buy that for pc
GOLDEN AXE

That to me is plenty of games to keep me happy.
Ill defo be buying the 60gb ps3 and i just cant wait.

how many of these are launch titles?, if any?, cos i dont know
 
I'll prob get one, have a quick bash then stick on the bay for 1K Buy it now, may aswell make some cash.
 
I've pre-ordered from Gamestation too. I'll be keeping that one, but I'll be getting an extra one or two when other places start taking pre-orders to sell.
 
Problem that will arise here is that on the one hand, after the 360 profit maker shortage, a lot more people will try the whole 'buy to sell stuff'. Secondly at £425 the customer base is smaller, so slightly less demand, and the margins less (not many ppl would go over £450 for a console). Just what i predict.
 
Got to bear in mind that the only reason people were able to charge such prices was the lack of consoles.

I would think Sony will learn from M$' mistakes and have much more stock available, add the fact that many more people will be trying to sell for a profit and I can't see prices being any where near as high as some of you think.

Like they did with the PSP you mean? And that wasn't even as close to Christmas as this launch. Plus, it has 'Playstation' written on the side of it. Everyone will want one. I don't think it's even possible to manufacture enough of them to meet demand for a worldwide launch of the next Playstation.

Unlikely, its not a mistake, the shortage drove demand, it was a calculated move.

Exactly, both Microsoft and Sony apparently had plenty of stock in warehouses (many used as possible replacements) but lack of supply with always cause huge demand.

Only thing is, is that I went to make one before I made my "real" one but had to out so I logged out and off I went, came back and found it as an "INcomplete" order. I take going choosing "Cancel Order" from the Enquiry link gets it removed in time, as I canceled it sometime yesterday evening yet its still there :confused:

Anyone know when Gamestation started taking pre-orders online? :o

i definitely be getting one but i doubt it be on the launch date, maybe nearer to easter as i will wait for any problems with the PS3 console to be sorted before spending £450 on it and save money for a HDTV!!!

Was planing on getting it on launch day, but it depends if I have a job around that time :p

Got one on pre-order with gamestation too. Guna pre-order with some other places and sell them on the bay, so i can cover the high price of the console. I may even make a little profit. :D
