I have been thinking about this for a while now and have been sooo hoping Sony will release a firmware update to enable you to carry on playing your same game save on either PS3 or PSP if you have the same game on both.

I am quite into F1 on PS3 and have a bit of a championship going with a mate who lives in Southampton, but I dont get enough exclusive TV usage to enable enough practice of the circuits etc. So I bought F1 2006 on the PSP, just to practice the tracks really, but it's sooo good that I spend a lot of time playing the career on it (the PSP still amazes me with how good the games are on such a small gadget :)). If only I could start a career on one console and then carry it on with the other - that would be just ace.

Any other games out there which could benefit from something like this?

Isnt there talk of this actually being able to be done with the PSone games from the PS Store?

If nothing else it would be a step in the right direction. But it could only work for very few titles, mainly sports ones as they are the ones most likely to be on both PSP and PS3 and not have a huge fundamental difference.

This has been done plenty of times with PS2/PSP titles so I can't see why it won't happen with PS3/PSP titles in future.

Yeah, I just read that you can play F1 2006 cross platform from PSP to PS2. Would have thought it would be easier to do things with the PS3 though considering the PSP is like the ultimate accessory for the PS3 with remote play etc.
