Hi all

I've just got a Sony KDLW2000 for a good deal, but when I try connecting my PS3 via HDMI I can't get anything.

If I use the scart from the PS3 I get no problems, but the HDMI cable (Monster Cable) gets no picture or anything.

Is there a setting on the playstation or TV I should be looking for, or do you think the HDMI cable could be norked?

Had the exact same problem as you, on my Sony Bravia (KDL26P2530), turned out to be an issue with the HDMI cable I had; I don't recall the make - got it with the unit.

I did a quick google and found a few posts stating it was a fault with the TV, so I took it back the next day, but during the impromptu test I got them to conduct, the store's PS3 started working fine!

I ended up going for a 'recommended' cable, some new one released that day (Monster Advanced 1000EX), cost £80 but it did the trick.

Edit: Just thought I'd add, my original HDMI cable worked fine with a mates TV (an LG) and it also worked fine with a 37" LG I had bought the day before, just not the Sony (irony eh!) :D

Scort.

I agree, I was shocked, but after the money spent the weekend before, I CBA to get one cheaper:

Long story short, I thought that CoD4 looked **** on my 32" Sammy, so I went out and bought a 1080P 37" LG one, the old Sammy then went to my old man, but after a nights gaming, I thought that the LG was far too big for my room.

Old man agreed to have the LG, I sold the Sammy to a mate and went and picked up a 26" Bravia, and haven't looked back :)

Scort.
