Ok I seem to be having problems playing Fifa 08 online and I'm also unable to get the bt headset to work in game. Checked my router (o2 wireless box, aka speedtouch 780) and as far as I can see all the correct ports are open and UPnP is enabled. All that I can think is that it is an issue with my setup somewhere so had a look at my ps3 settings.

Now here's the confusing bit, when I'm on my ps3 and go to the 'network settings' option and select 'internet connection test' it comes up saying UPnP - not available, and Nat Type - Type 3
However when I go into 'settings and connection status list' it says: UPnP - available, and Nat Type - Type 2

Why is it giving me 2 different readings, surely they should both say the same?? Also which one is correct?

After having a play with the settings in my router I managed to get the 'internet connection test' to say UPnP available and nat type 2, but then in the 'settings and connection status list' is says UPnP unavailable and Nat Type 3

Do any of you other ps3 owners get the same results as above, or are your results in both screens the same?

Really want to get this sorted as trying to play mates online in Fifa is a pita. It just takes loads of attempts to join a game and when I do it usually drops connection at somepoint during the game. Also my headset seem doesn't work even though it comes up in the list in the lobby :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

ps. I have no issues playing online in Everybodys Golf & GT5p, it just seems to be fifa. Also My headset works fine in 'chat', just again not ingame with Fifa! .........HELP!!!!!!

Hmmmmm, well I dont know what I've done different but I've now managed to get UPnP available in both screens and also Nat Type 2 in both screens!

I've not opened any different ports and the ip has always been set to static in my router but it now seems ok

Will need to try fifa again and see if thats all working ok and report back.

I have this trouble with my router as well, even putting it in the DMZ yields the same results. I think my routers borked though as it loses connection when on p2p apps.
