PS3 User on Different PS3?

Im in Thailand, going back to the UK for 2 weeks, then going to Australia. My PS3 60gb is being shipped to Australia from Thailand and Im going to be using my brothers PS3 when Im back home.
Is there any way I can transfer my profile from my PS3 to his?
Also, how can I back up my PS3 HDD, in case it gets damaged during shipping? Cheers

You can add your PSN id to the users on his PS3, just create a new user name on his PS3 then sign up to PSN using your old details. This will not copy your saves so you may want to take the ones off with a pen drive, but some you can make a copy off, you will also have to resync your trophies when you first add your ID. THere is a back up utilty in the PS3 firmware, I would advise deleteing you old game data (not saves), videos, etc as this will minimise the amount of space and time required for the backup. You will just have to re=install games and re download the patches when you get back.
