PS3 username query

Yo guys,

I bought my Dad's PS3 today, as some of you remember I had one ages ago in which I sold. I have setup the PS3 and am trying to get my old psn ID back (Andybtsn) when trying to retrieve my previous account it doesn't remember my email address, as in I never existed...Yet If I try creating a new account Andybtsn is taken

I sold the PS3 to a guy on here, does it register as Andybtsn still being on my old machine? I don't understand why it doesn't recognise my email address, it's the only one I'd ever use.

It sucks!

Any help would be appreciated!

I've tried resetting me password but when I input my email address and date of birth it comes back invalid (on the PS3)

I wouldn't get them details wrong, ever!

Nope, asks the same questions. Email address and DOB.

I'm worried if I stupidly changed my email address when sellign the PS3 with worry that the guy could get into the PSN store and use my details or whatnot. I don't know why i'd do this or if I have what I changed the email addy too.

Never gonna get my username back.

I think I did that but when logging onto the PSN store it saved my details or something, I can't remember what but there was some security concerns otherwise I wouldn't of contemplated doing it (If I did it). Can only think I did this, no other feasible explanation really.

Sony wouldn't tell me what email address is tied to my old username would they?

I never thought I'd be owning a PS3 again I think so never really thought of what I was doing obviously.

I'm going to try email Sony and see if they can help, doubt it though.
