Whats taking Sony so long to get it out?
Whats happening with it lately?
What does and doesnt it have?
 
Are you joking with this thread? I don't understand why you would make this post when there are literally hundreds of threads talking about Playstation 3 here.

Why did you not mention Nintendo's new console? Or was it just a blatent dig at Sony? We've been waiting a long time for the Wii too remember...

Its because i dont want a Wii.

I want a PS3 and ive heard so many different release dates that i dont know when its supposed to be out and what they have and havnt kept on it.

Its not a dig at sony, i do like the company and ive not got a problem with them.
It just seems that the release is getting push further and further away.
 
As with anything, price and the market.

It's going to cost £425 when it's launched! We've waited this long so that Sony can produce it this 'cheap'. If it was released last year against the Xbox360, the 360 would have been £280 and the PS3 would have been £600+

Are they building up stock at the moment?

What has the PS3 got? Ive heard they removed some things that were planned.
 
Yes, Sony promised many things and then removed them, such as:

7 Bluetooth Controllers - Only 4 now
3 Ethernet Ports - 1 Ethernet Port
2 HDMI Ports - 1 HDMI Port
All Games output in 1080p - no games on launch (and not many after) output at 1080p

They also promised Wi-Fi on all models, but now they are only fitting it in the £425 version.

As it stands Sony still have poor yields on it's cell processor, with many of them lacking the use of all cores 100%.
 
The consensus at the moment seems to be overpriced similar performing 1 year old console. But it will still sell. The general public probably wont realise what a poor purchase it is until after they have one and hear about it in the press.

I recall older consoles selling for £399 at release, this isn't really any different.

yeah look at all the £500+ 360s that sold on ebay. Heck my m8 got a launch PS2 and sold it in the local paper (you may recall the obscene christmas shortage on launch year) for £899

People promise their kids things....

My Dad got mine from game and apparently feared for his life by the looks he was getting from some people :eek:

Erm yes if you go on the exact meaning of "Talking about" then it means in every thread it's mentioned in, which is 18 pages worth which I think you'll find is hundreds. Sorry for being a counter-pedant :o

Ok then, there are 98 threads with PS3 in the title. There are others that are talking about Sony and the PS3 without PS3 in the title, so yes there are hundreds.
 
Nope not an assumption. Search for "Playstation 3" in the title and you get quite a few, knocking it over 100.
