Bought a pre-owned 40GB PS3 from a well known high street store today and used the data transfer utility on the PS3 to copy everything across from my old 60GB system... took 6 hours!!!

Anyway, it's all done now but when I go to set-up the network settings it only asks for an Ethernet cable to be plugged in and doesn't give me the option for wifi???

Anyone know what's going on?

The US launched with 20gb Wi-Fi'less model as well IIRC. If there's no option under custom network settings for wifi I'd say it's either broken or you've been sold an NTSC 20gb with a 40gb hard disc installed.... what's the model number?

Did the 20GB Models only have 2 x USB ports on the front and no card readers??? Thought they only took those away on later models!!!

Found an original receipt in the box from HMV - was dated December 2007 though - when did the 40GB models come out?

Just to make things worse - the bloody BD drive isn't reading games either now!!!
