Does anyone have the Sony PS3 Wireless Bluetooth Headset and is it worth it?

Just wondering whats a decent headset, ideally want a wireless one, what are you using?

Thanks

I've got it, it's pretty good, not too uncomfortable for long periods of time. Not sure it's worth the price I've seen it at though (£20-25) as I got it as a pack in with SOCOM.

If you're wanting a wireless one then the official Sony one is probably your best bet - I still don't rate it above my USB headset though.

I'm not that keen on the official one - in HQ mode it doesn't have echo cancellation so I can always hear myself via someone else's headset! It's incredibly sensitive. I have to turn my TV volume to practically zero and shut all the doors in the house! Turn HQ mode off for echo cancellation and then the quality goes to ****.

I have the official one - amazing quality to the sound over what I get on the 360's chat, and also using a mobile's BT headset; I think the official one can only use the HQ (high quality) mode though.

Wireless: Official Sony headset

Wired: Logitech Vantage

For what it's worth, i own both. The Vantage headset offers superior sound quality however i prefer the official wireless headset as the convenience of it outweighs the minor impact on sound quality. I would rate both as excellent purchases.

My Logitech Vantage headset is wireless:confused: and far superior to my friends **** Official Sony headset!

Mine wont work when charging:o.

Same, ive a Madcat one or something like that anyhow.

It probably has a bad rep as I think its the 'generic computer shop' copy, but ive had no issues at all with sound or using the Mic. It connected straight away and bar not working when charging (well even if it did id have to lay next to my PS3 as the cable is short :D) its OK.

Madcatz one works a treat for me - no crackling or anything, mic picks up well ... comfy enough (not that ive experience in others in that regard) and the PS3 picks it up straight away as id expect it to.

The only downside is that you cant use it when on charge, but that may be the case with others too. But it does have decent life to it, though again im not a heavy mic user so cant say ive had it running 24 hours constant etc

I had one and after looking into it the pS3 official one seems to have all the best reviews.
I traded mine in after a week, though, because the ps3's usb support is pretty good so I can just use my USB headset.
Also made me Q_Q that you can't private chat
