If it isn't one thing it's another :)

So, I've been using the PS3 for a whole evening now.
Very impressed I must say - but that is for another thread.

I came to setup the network - the PS3 is in the front room and my WAP/Router is in an upstairs bedroom.
I set the security to WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK
The router in question is a Netgear DG836G (Version 3)

From the PS3 I go through the wireless setup procedure.
It scans and finds my WAP and also correctly lists the security level.
The signal strength is at 55% which is quite acceptable.
I enter all of the details when requested, including the all important pass-phrase (I just use a password here).
System reports a connection problem and no go.

If I totally remove all security from the WAP it connects absolutely fine - so the wireless is actually working OK.
I've not tried with low level security like WEP yet.
Anybody else have any such problems - did you have to only use a certain security level?
If your's is OK, what make/model of WAP/Router are you using?
