Ps3 Wireless woes

Ok, I have recently moved to a new student house and I am having horrible problems with my PS3 wireless.

I can connect to the wireless fine, does the test, all fine 7mb down etc. But then I constantly get signed out with various error messages spewed at me, which I have googled to not much success. The wireless signal strength is 100% and the internet is virgin media.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Doing my nut.

EDIT: Error code seems to be 8002ad23.

Google returns nothing useful. Halp :(

Have you tried using a different Wifi channel on your router, had similar issue with my PS3 and Wii, a different channel sorted them both out.

Cable. And what do you mean Tweak? I don't want to switch channels really as I live with 5 others and dont wanna mess up all their devices.

It's worth trying it just to see if it maintains a connection. If it does then you know what the problem is. When I worked for Virgin I hated it if I'd suggest something and I'd get someone on the other end saying they wouldn't do what I suggested because of X, Y and Z. It's like, why ask for help if you are unwilling to follow the suggestions. :p

But surely if I change channels it will mess up my 5 housemates laptops, ipads, PCs, phones, everything?

The other devices should not be affected, unless any of them don't like the new channel you pick, it's trial and error I'm afraid.

If you have the means, laptop with wifi, iphone or android phone, you can get apps to scan for other signals near by and see if any of them conflict with your current setup channel, then simply try a channel further away from the ones you see in use...

Not necessarily. I changed the channel of my router previously and my phone still picks up the wireless network just fine. Like I said you're better off just trying these things and if they work you can go from there, if not there are other things to try but if you don't try you won't know...

Typing your error code into Google brings up all sorts of things by the way, so there's probably no definitive fix but people have had success with switching off the media sharing on the PS3 and also disabling uPNP if you want to try those things.

I just think you could be a little more grateful that someone had bothered to help. Instead of thanking them and just saying you'll try it (even if you won't) you took a different tone which seemed a little ungrateful.
