no it work s wired but not wireless the strenth is good the settings are right the key is right but as i say it just says
chect system secuity settings

Dose anyone know of a Teki number for ps3 ?

Did you use scan automatically? Did you type in the letters in the key in CAPS? Is your router set to automatically allow new registrations?

Have you tried disabling the wireless encryption/security?

If it works without encryption then it is the encryption settings you have wrong,

You may have to google for the exact info, but are you using MAC address filtering on your Netgear? If so, you'll have to add the PS3's MAC address to the accepted list otherwise it won’t connect.

Edit: By the way, I'd really suggest using a USB keyboard when inputting your credentials – if you’re using a complex SSID and/or PSK, it’s quite easy to think you’ve input the correct details via the controller, only to find doing them via a keyboard works first time (I speak from experience :D)

My PS3 is exactly the same and a complete nightmare but works perfectly over ethernet so I just got a 20M ethernet and shoved it under the skirting board from router to PS3.

Worked perfectly from then on! There seems to be endless PS3 wifi issues but other than that its a great console :D

I'd personally try and wire it up anyway.

I found the speed of the wireless to be really poor even when the router was sat next to it.

Same here, the wifi on the original 60 gig and the new 120 slim works flawlessly – I’d imagine that for anyone having problems, it’ll be down to ‘user error’ (i.e. my own issue with inputting the PSK without a k/b), I’m guessing it will be pretty rare just to have the wifi bricked on your console

The wireless on my PS3 (80GB) is flaky as hell. I have to put up with constant loss of signal, sometimes it refuses to connect to the PSN altogether, sometimes it connects but then drops halfway through a game. Then sometimes it works perfectly and stays connected for the entire gaming session. Strangely though, everything else can connect flawlessly from the same location without a single problem.

Running a wire is not an option for me, so I have grin and bear it.
