ps3 with HDMI - black screen???

I've just got a HDMI to HDMI cable, plugged it into tv and ps3, started up only to find a blank screen? :confused:

There is sound however, of the ps3 starting up but just nothing on the screen. It's probably something simple but what am I doing wrong? Help!

Hold down the PS button for about 5 secs

I believe you have to press/hold the power button for a couple of seconds on the PS3 until it beeps to reset the video setting.
