PS3

I am thinking about buying a Playstation 3, The main reason is that i want to play GT Prologue and Metal Gear Solid. Dont know if its worth getting the console just for these games though Any help would be great.

To be honest mate, the games that are out now either dont interest me or i prefer them on the xbox 360. I dont minde waiting on games to be released aslong as they are gonna be something special, is there any other things i should take into considiration when buying a ps3 other than it not having much of a game catalogue ?
