PS3's for £159.99

It was all a big joke anyway, they had barely any availiable for sale. Was just a big con to get hundreds of thousands of people watching their site all week.

Do you understand the definition of a con? If it was a con, they would have taken your money and not delivered the product.

Advertising a product at a great price but you not being quick enough to get one is perhaps a minor inconvenience but certainly not a con.

Oh for the love of god... You're not the one on the comments section of that site moaning about how they should be reported to Watchdog are you?!

Are there serious people this stupid still out there?!

No im not so take your sadface with you :p

Its a con in the sense that its not made clear that the items are of VERY limited availiability. How exactly is it not a con if you click on the buy the very second the deal goes live and its already out of stock?

They should make it clear that unless you click buy the nano second the deal goes live you have no chance to buy one, and even then its a slim chance at best. Fair enough they have a percentage left shown but thats pretty useless, a number of items left would be far more suitable. A friend tried to buy something and the instant the item went live he said it was at 100% sold and no longer buyable, literally the very second the deal went live.

Im not even buying anything from it, so no sour grapes here i just think its a sly way of drumming up hysteria and getting extra hits on their site for whatever reasons.

When you click on the deal, it has 'terms' in quite large bold text that say things like "2 per household, Limited Availability"..

But I'd shop them to the trading standards and take them to court, I'd love to hear the case being read and defended, it'd be priceless..

:D

its no different to any other shop selling things at bargain prices, they get you in store/on web site, no stock left so they hope you'll just get the next best priced one.

Pretty much. When I worked for a high street electrical store (tm) they did it all the time, e.g. when the first DVD player was under £100 at Christmas, they had about 6 in stock and put them right at the back of the store. Classic.
