Any problems with using either in the UK? Any region locks etc?

These are fairly cheap in Russia at the moment due to the ruble so exploring whether its worth getting one.

PS4 is around £275, Xbox £285

Thanks

Are they for just the console, or bundles?

I don't think the current deals on UK bundles are that far off those prices if you factor in the cost of the games included.

Yeah I haven't looked at bundles yet. Just if they would work.

iPhones have the biggest savings it seems

You'll probably get stung by customs so not going to be saving anything significant in the end.

edit: scratch that just noticed your locations.

Are these region locked at all,

Ruble crash is making Moscow like a sweet shop. Iphone 6 64gb are now £330! Xbox one for £175

Not worth the risks.

Damage in transit = return fiasco
Doesn't work properly = return fiasco
Customs decide to slap a charge on it = not worth the small money savings
If it breaks months down the line, you can't just nip it back to a local store (Game, etc) and see customer services face to face.

For the sake of the price of a game just buy one from the UK. Why export your cash to Russia anyway, support UK jobs damnit!!! :p

...but presumably if he commutes semi-regularly to Russia it's worth a punt at those prices?

£330 iPhone 6 64GB would certainly tempt me!

I missed the clue that he might commute, as per his Location. Personally, I still wouldn't bother, but each to their own. The question is; are you considering a cheap one because he cannot afford at RRP?

Yes I am poor because I look for value for money.

Can anyone answer the question about Region lock?

I travel 1-2 per month out here

Digital downloads on the Xbone seem to be region locked as well from the quick look I had.

Console region is easily changed in the dashboard.

If I bought a US digital download game there's nothing stopping me changing my console region back to UK as it's tied to my account, not console.

Read this morning that companies are now starting to clamp down on online sales from Russian sites to avoid people jumping on the Rouble crash. Apple have stopped online sales, and Steam are now region locking games.

Doesn't affect actually walking into a brick and mortar store in Russia, but worth noting nonetheless.

Prices have gone up massively. From 52,000 rub to 68,000 today.

That's now more than UK. Last week they were 37,000

Western brands want dollars out so have to do something. I think xbox is still fairly stable, for now.

But everyone is buying stuff like crazy. Ikea had massive queues too
