PS4 CASING - MODDED(OR BUTCHERED, DEPENDING ON TROLL ABILITYS)

Well, this went about as well as I had expected.

Surely the fan grille is essentially sitting flush with whatever surface the PS4 is sitting on? I just can't see it actually achieving much.
 
So how's that increased cooling improving your life?

I remember when modding would be actively encouraged here. Seems now just mocking people is more popular. It's funny, so much of it verges on breaking the rules on personal attacks too.

Personally I'd be more worried if it didn't feel warm/hot as that shows the heat is being dissipated and it's doing it's job. As has been said already, you have now disrupted the airflow and could potentially hinder effective cooling over all components.
 
I love it! Any interest in modding other ps4's as I would be really interested in this, perhaps a water cooled system using my garden hose on a sprinkler setting?

Seriously though why the hell would you want to look inside in the first place, the internet has dismantling videos to show you this before it was even released but you just had to look

Just out of curiosity does your car have a front bumper or bonet or have you removed them to improve cooling?

troll' gonna do what they do best, regardless of what they were saying in the other thread i was going to do it anyway, i enjoyed doing it and it has worked.

critics are never pleased, its easyer for some ppl to try and tear something down rather than give positive comments, if they are capable.
 
I don't really like that the mod has cut through the PS4 logo, but its your PS4 so as long as your happy with the results that's all that matters I guess.

Any further mod plans? No funky lights or anything?
 
what is wrong with people here? Most of you have been quite rude and for no obvious reason.

anyhooo still nuts cause that opening probably made things worse as the ps4 is made internally to be cooled correctly in a closed environment not sure now what is happening.

As far as I am aware the reason the 360's and some PS3's had issues was because of the heating causing issues with the lead free solder that they have to use, and Xbox and Sony STILL use but introduced either better cooling or thermal cut off's. The 360s automatically shuts down when the temps get too high to stop the solder causing issues.

I think the fact that both Microsoft and Sony have had hardware issues over their consoles in the past show that no, they don't always know best.

I've added several fans to people's 360's as well as spray painted a few for them, or increased fan voltage from 5v up to 12v, noisier but cooler.

So this guy modded his case and shared it, why not ask if it actually made any differences to the temps instead of all jumping on the band wagon to take the pee?:confused:
 
I bet your PS4 now breaks in a week and you're £350 down as you messed with it and Sony won't wanna know.
