If noise and temperature is improved I don't see what people are getting so butthurt about, it strikes me as jealousy as it looks a very tidely done mod to my eyes.
Jealous of what?
Jealous of what?
You make that sound like an increase in sound is a good thing? Unless you think it's somehow more quiet now?
It's neither aesthetically appealing nor solving an existing problem, so it's just tinkering for tinkering's sake.
Which people used to do all the time, without such immediate and sustained criticism. Don't like it, fine. Don't immediately lay in to the person who decided to try something.
If it's getting more airflow the fan won't need to run as fast which will mean less noise, all he has to do is stick some rubber feet on the bottom to lift it up a few millimetres.
if your car engine gets hot do you rely on it's built in cooling system or drilling some holes around the hotspots to get better airflow to them?
Since you want to keep repeating this, improving the air flow into the engine will result in benefits mostly, which is why there is a massive market for aftermarket air filters etc. So can you stop trying to compare a console to a car for goodness sake.
did he improve the current system? which is what these aftermarket upgrades do or completely replace them.
no he made a hole in the middle of the current airflow system.
Don't see how the airflow could be disrupted, there nothing near air compression for an extreme example and nothing moving at any great speed, he now has a vent where I imagine there is a lot of heat buildup.
Think we need to mod a fan to this topic to remove all the excess heat it's generating.
