Anyone else noticed the LAN speeds aren't too clever on the PS4?

Or is the built in connection test lying?

75MBit \ 18Mbit line. I achieve these speeds without issue on PC.

On the PS4, even wired, I get about 35 \ 6.

Seems an almighty waste and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it considering the limited options on the console.

What are you guys getting on the test?
 
Where's the test located? I'll have a look tonight.

I've been using WiFi for mine and have generally noticed it to be horribly slow compared to everything else in my household.
 
Just got my answer.

It pings the Sony Entertainment Network to work out speeds and that is still getting battered since launch.

Phew! It does not reflect on throughout.
 
35/6 is more than enough for gaming, ping is the most important combined with upload imo, because if you have a decent ping and decent upload chances are your have more than enough download.

ideally at minimum you want an upload of 1MB (bare minimum), but anything above 4MB should be super smooth.

ping you want less than 100ms the lower the better, but if it's going over 100ms then it's going to cause issues.
