I used to own a 360, traded that in a few years ago for a wii so the kids could play.

The kids are older, so which would you get. And why. Im a PC Gamer, I am leaning towards the XB. For Dead Rising 3, and a few other xclusives. But I think the PS4 has better hardware.

Help.

I'd get a Wii U if you are a PC gamer, and see if any of the future XBone/PS4 exclusives really tickle your fancy in the future.

+1

if you were asking just for yourself it would be different but with children involved theres not much on either console for kids at this stage

I had the same problem and i chose....

Zelda a link between worlds on 3DS :D

Going to leave the xbone and ps4 untill the games start to interest me.

If you're not in a rush then wait until around March/April so you have a better idea on what's coming etc. At this stage I'd say PS4 as with the PS3 it tended to have some better family games, that and PSN+ is great value so you'll probably get a game each month that will keep the kids happy.

Don't waste your money on a Wii U it's probably the worst console I have ever owned, sure it's got Mario but that's about it and even that is tired now.

I would agree with this. Unless something grabs you right now and makes you think you must have it, then waiting until next year makes more sense. Games like Titanfall, InFamous and Destiny are all due around March time, so you'll have a better idea what you want by then.

Ive handled one and think its a massive improvement, though I can't get past opposing sticks its a VERY good controller.

I would wait as well, they are both very much works in progress, maybe middle of next year you we might have a clearer picture of what they are working towards, and what game exclusives each are getting.

I'm going to wait until FIFA 15 I'll be getting it and hopefully as part of a bundle.

Too early to say also it's the Xbox is not out in Belgium until easter 2014  something to do with translation or something... some problem that sony didn't have since they've launched here already. ;)

It's pretty even between that and the 360 controller imo. If given the choice i would just flip a coin between the 2. I haven't tried the Xbone yet but i hear people prefer the 360 controller to it?
I'm in two minds over the XB1 controller. I love how light it is, and I love the new rumble triggers. The shoulder buttons don't feel 100% right yet (though they're feeling better for me than they were a week ago), and I think I preferred the slightly larger thumbsticks on the 360 controller.

Both 360 and XB1 controllers are great, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a DS4 to compare them.

The analog on the DS4 started to hurt my rleft thumb after a while of using it. I only felt it once and haven't felt it since. It's probably down to the fact the DS3 had dome shaped sticks and this one doesn't.

I prefer concave thumbsticks as opposed to convex, as I feel I have more control with them. It'll be weird using a PS controller that feels that way.
