Due to picking up a PS4 again, I now need to purchase a new monitor. A few points I need to make:
- It's use will be split between browsing on a PC, maybe watching the odd TV show or movie on it, little PC gaming, and PS4 gaming. Probably 50/50 use on PC/PS4, so I need two HDMI ports and 1080p native resolution
- Must have a headphone out port so I can plug in my speakers
- Not sure on size. I currently have a 27" monitor which feels big at times but it doesn't help that the stand is huge and the screen is over 0.5ft away from the wall. If the monitor could get closer to the wall, the 27" is fine.
- I don't play online games hardly at all, so input lag isn't a major factor for me I guess.
- I think I'd prefer an IPS panel for the colours. I've always had TN panels so curious to see IPS.
I'm strongly considering the Asus MX259H or MX279H, would anyone recommend anything better?
