Thought I would start this thread to discuss PS4 Pro game patches. On when or if they are due to be released. So people like me can keep track / look out for the update and the changes in quality.

Currently I am at a loss on if my current titles or ones I will get shortly, are already taking advantage of the pro power. I know patch updates should state this but checking my PS4 eveytime you turn on for these notes sounds like a pain and a list here of people's experiences may be best.

So far I don't believe BF1 or FIFA have released their patches. But has Titanfall yet?

COD and uncharted 4 already look to be on board.

Based on a list Sony released of patch improvements, there seems to be very few actually having the update in time for release day.

Well I earlier wrote that some are saying the COD upgrade is on the disc and it does look good. But a lot of people are also saying that the patch hasn't been released yet, so that one is still up in the air for me. Also want to know whats happening with FIFA, another supposed launch title.

Been very poorly done this tbh.

Does TLoU have a 4K patch? I see 30fps and HDR options but doesn't tell me if this is 4K/30 or not

It does have a 4K patch

It is certainly available as I played it on my mates Pro last night, IW and the Remaster look fantastic at 4K.

BF1 is actually PS4 Pro ready out of the box.

It supersamples down to 1080p as well.

The only thing they haven't patched in yet is HDR.

@Battlefield keeps saying this on Twitter in response to PS4 Pro questions:
"BF1 is available to PS4 Pro players & will provide 4K rendering at launch. HDR functionality won't be available at launch."

Using deductive reasoning: Obviously they unlocked the second gpu in order to upscale to 4K (and supersample to 1080p for those without 4K TVs). DICE probably concluded that unlocking the extra power didn't result in any bugs on the Pro, and it gave a nice little bump in performance without them having to do any further optimization. Once they have time to commit to testing HDR and added graphical features, and decide which will be able to be patched in, they'll announce a fully featured "Pro Mode" like we've seen in other games.

By second GPU, they just mean rest of the GPU.

It does run superb on the Pro, especially at 1080p. The frame rate is far more slick and dips far less on 64 player Conquest. It looks sharper.

Interesting, but can't say I have noticed any real change on BF1 myself. Got to admit I was expecting more from games on the pro at current but feel a little disappointed with the improvements. Can only hope for better things to come.

Watch Dogs 2 next week perhaps.

Yep, I just tried Uncharted 4 and felt the same.

I think we will notice on new games also interesting most devs stated they had zero idea about the pro until couple weeks before launch so I bet they couldn't optimizer it themselves

You can't see any difference with BF1? It is so much smoother and looks better.
