So, I've been pondering getting a PS4 Pro, and noticed that it comes with HDMI 2.0 and I figured that the display device also needs this.
Upon inspecting my TV (letv X50 Air) I see it has HDMI 1.4A and one port supports MHL2.0.

Now, I have no idea what this might mean. :D
Does anyone here know if I'll be getting 2K/4K through these input ports?
I'm pretty clueless.

I actually did a bit of hardcore googling and apparently, upon release, it DID do 4K through HDMI1.4, but then a firmware update broke that, but that was back last November, so I dunno if it's fixed or not yet.

Anyway, at the end of the day, even if I can still only have 1080p, I guess I'll enjoy the extra oomph making stuff smoother and having extra VFX if supported.

MHL is just for connecting mobile devices or something like that. However, it seems weird for a 4K TV not to have HDMI2.0 ports.

I dunno.
It's quite an old one now.... at least 3 years old. And it was never super top of the range to start with.
I guess that's how things were back then.
