PS4 / PS Vita remote play issues... HELP!!!

I'm house sitting at my Dad's and I bought my PS4 and PS Vita with me... the plan was to use the PS Vita for some remote access gaming of GTA V on my PS4, while the rest of the family can still watch TV (I only have a few down days over xmas so really looking forward to this!).

I can get connected, but I get an aweful connection which loses signal really easy - I have tried direct connection and connecting via the wifi router but both are eaqually carp.

I have used Wifi Analyser on my phone and can see that channels 1,6 & 11 are really quite busy - which I think is the problem! I tried changing the channel on the Vita to the quietest one, but it wont connect unless I leave it on auto!

I have with me a Huawei WS320 wireless repeater - I'm wondering if I can set this up as an access point for both my PS4 and PS Vita to connect to each other via another, quieter, channel?

HELP!!!

Remove direct connection from the remote play options on the ps4. can't remember exact location, but for me using direct connection resulted in a lot of lag and disconnects...

Yeah direct connection is bad. But if those channels are noisy then you are a bit stuck. Which channel is the main router on? If 6 then change it to one slightly towards the less noisy end

Make sure the PS4 is activated as a primary system on your PSN account. Also be sure the Vita is one the same account.

If the router is crap then the only option is to use direct connection and sit a few feet away from the PS4. Doesn't work properly otherwise.

Or buy a better router !
