PS4 Remote Play on PC

I understand that the v2 controllers are able to communicate through USB, is that a requirement for using a controller with the PC Remote Play app?

I can't see it specifically listed on the requirements page on Sony's website.

No, all DS4's work via USB on a PC. Just plug it in and it will work with the Remote Play app.
