PS4 to match or PS5 as newer?

Hi all,

Rather silly question - I need 1 new tyre, currently the car has Michelin Pilot Sport 4 all round and the remaining 3 tyres have around 5mm of tread left so there is no point in changing them.

Do I;

1) Buy another PS4, to match, at a cost of roughly £210
2) Buy a PS5, at a cost of roughly £180

It's a front tyre for a reasonably powerful RWD car if that makes any difference.

If you never drive to the limits of your (or your car's) ability, mismatching a PS4 and a PS5 on the same axle will be absolutely fine in the real world.

Providing the tyres are not budget ditch finders then I don't think it really matters they're not matched to be honest. I generally try to buy A rated wet grip tyres so if they're the same rating them I wouldn't worry at all.

If it's not illegal or an MOT failure then it can't be that bad. (It isn't. :D)

Edit: If the mismatch affects your feng shui though, the extra £30 to get the same type is worth the cost :D. Some people are nuts and won't sleep for months. :p

Thanks all, I matched and got a new PS4.

I can't be bothered with selling part worns to get PS5 and the 3 other tyres still had good tread so they are all staying.

And then at some point you will have one tyre which needs replacing and they will be different forever over and over again.

Its all over. :(

Yeah I’d go with part used matching.
Can get some off the bay for 50-80. Tyre fitters will charge £10-£15 to fit and balance.
