Nephew wants a PS5 for his Xmas and I was asked which model and I’m lost, so any help on the differences?
Thanks

One has a disc drive the other one doesnt.

The disc version is more expensive, but physical games can be cheaper and it allows you to sell/trade games.

The drive can play 4k blu-rays as well which was a worthwhile bonus for me.

Thanks so that's the only difference they have the same insides, i have to ask as he has a ps4 atm and i will get all the questions
Thanks

Also worth mentioning that both play PS4 games, so the PS5 with the disc drive will play any PS4 games he has on disc.

Definitely get the disk version for cheaper games using ebay and vinted I only paid between £20 and £30 for Rift Apart, Far Cry 6, Dying Light 2, Lego Skywalker Saga and GT7. If you don't mind a few months wait for new releases it saves you so much money.

Disk version definitely if he has a PS4 so he can play his current games and also because you can still get disks far cheaper, I got The Last of Us Part 1 for £53 vs £69.99 for digital.
