Can you please post any experience with PS5 noises (coil whine / fan noise).

I just got mine today and a noise is noticable in the ingame menus and then when gaming it increases in intensity.

I want to see if this is "normal" and if to return it.

So when in menus sitting about 6 foot away with tv noise muted can you hear anything?

Well mine is clearly noisy from around 8 foot so I guess it’s faulty

i can be a bit sensitive to noise, but this noise is sat on the sofa about 6 to 8ft away from console without any games running.

how do you go about swapping out a faulty console with Sony? Do you deal with Sony or the shop bought from?

Mine seems to be fan and ramps up with game. But also can hear it slow down and stop when powering off.

the noise aint high pitched its more like a fan whirring - and im getting on a bit

I have contacted shopto to see what to do next..... I am not sure if it is better to deal with Sony or ShopTo to get a replacement?

The lowest volume on my headphones means I can't hear it, so not an issue. If I was to put it further away or not at head height I'd not be able to hear it either.

I dont wear headphones and mine is audible on the floor with no games running at 8foot away. My mate sits closer and is not audible at all

The noise my fan makes when playing Astro and days gone is the same.

I would have thought it would be worse with days gone

I dont have any more sound issues as I sold mine and will wait until I can get one locally so if there is issues i can just swap it out. There should be some better deals next year. I can wait
