I have a new set of Pulse 3D Headset that i am going to start using as i have had my originals since launch. The original set has bits of the vinyl that are flaking off in places. I want to repurpose these for my PC and i have seen some replacement ear cups. Has anyone tried them? Are they easy to fit? There are several versions including "Cooling Gel" ones.

Any help or experience with these would be appreciated.

I didn't replace mine but I did have to glue the fabric back onto the inner edge of the cups before I sold them to CEX as they came loose, the cups unclip pretty easily so replacing them should be a doddle.

Appreciate it's a bit late now (unless your new headset is still boxed) but I'd highly recommend the Steelseries Arctis 7P+ over the Pulse, it's far more comfortable, better put together and battery life is much longer.

I haven’t opened the new set but I have had them for a couple of months as I grabbed them when they were 55 quid and a new controller at 40. Honestly I didn’t find the Arctis that much better considering they are over double the price I have paid for my second set of pulse headphones. I also like the way it seamlessly integrates with the ps5. I think they are pretty comfy and decent sound quality. I also have a charging cable right next to me so I can plug them in if they get a little low but I rarely have long sessions that need that.

Just found a vid that shows how the cups come off and it looks easy enough so gonna grab some replacements.
