PSA: V-sync saves electricity

Hey guys, new to the forum and thought I would share something I discovered the other day by way of public service announement in my first post.

If your FPS exceeds your monitor refresh rate; enabling V-Sync will reduce your PCs power consumption in games.

If you are aware of this please ignore.

Also, where would be best on this forum to discuss quiet PCs?

It kind of makes sense as your hardware is working less to make 60 or 120 fps than 300fps. I rather enjoy watching my rig go silly high on the fps counter.

Quiet pc's can be discussed in General or Cases, More likely Cases.
