PSA: VMWare Workstation Pro and Fusion are now free

Broadcom has decided to offer 'free for personal use' licenses for Workstation Pro and Fusion - presumably to placate the Free ESXi users out there.

Not tried downloading anything yet, but have seen comments on Reddit with others having similar issues with the new Broadcom portal.

Out of interest just tried it myself. Logged into their portal then clicked the link for Workstation Pro from the blog page.

I can see the "cloud" icon to click to download it, but simply being told "Not Entitled"

Not bad, shame I have now moved over to Proxmox.

Now that workstation is free, I'm probably going to do the same and cancel my VMUG membership. I barely use my ESXi server anymore.
