Anyone else getting a knockback from PSN today?

internet works great - just PSN doesnt seem to want to work... whereabouts are notices about this kind of thing posted?
 
you mean the DNS settings? I did have both primary and secondary DNS manually configured but ive reset em to auto in my desperation.

ill try switching off upnp. brb
 
Aye i do, i use OpenDNS for all of my DNS settings as not only are they more reliable, they're usually faster than most ISPs DNS

Their IP addresses are:

yep thats what i was using too. Worked great till today - weird coz internet is fine (hence me posting :D) its only PSN and therefore online gaming... bah. Would never get this issue with pc gaming. I mean if ur internet was fine then gaming was fine.

Havent touched any of my settings at all and yet it just ******** up like this out of the blue. bizarre. Cant be bothered to mess about with it more tonight. Will leave it and watch it magically fix it itself tomorrow. 8002AD36 is the error code btw
 
still cant get into PSN.

re-entered network settings inc static ip and the DNS numbers again.

I've changed absolutely nothing. Absolutely nothing...

oh wait i did turn my PS3 from horizontal to vertical **** me that couldnt be it could it?

been hearing that the problem is affecting master psn accounts smt Sony has done recently. I dno.

Next steps

a) Move the ****** PS3 back to horizontal

b) Phone Sony and give em a bollockin

c) Phone Sky and give em a bollockin

d) create nother PSN acc to see what happens hrmmm..
 
changed to wired connection and re-enterd/reset everything. Didnt help.

Created another PSN account. It logs me in...but i still get logged out with 800 numbe rerrors after a bit and its slow logging in....reall slow.

next steps

a) get sky to replace router or just quit them the ballsacks...

b) give sony a bollockin on the phone anyway..

i think its something one of them has unwittingly done....or worse still SKY traffice shaping or smt....ohh i will enjoy the roasting i will give them if its them....i hope none of you work in a sky customer call centre in india chaps :p
 
came off phone with sony.

sky's fault. They've been faffing around with the lines, making changes. Including changing their broadband packages from 22nd June.

incidentally - can log into psn now and internet browsing seems quicker on ps3. (god i need a laptop again!)

dont matter that im kept in the dark i'm a happy little sheep again. :) :rolleyes:
 
false dawn - was logged back out of it with the usual 800 errors. Although its let me back in again atm..... soo temperamental with these mood swings it is..... :/

fifa let me play 45 mins of one game i log back in then 30 mins of one half before again kicking me out with the 90023AD error... i have been cursed :(

after reading other folks similar woes about this problem - only solution ive seen from others is - getting a new router/modem.

So got sky to send me a new router :) Mind you had to threaten to cancel before they would do it jeez!
