PSN keeps disconnecting

I have just bought a PS3, and it disconnects every min or so. Any ideas what the heck is wrong?

I should add, PSN doesn't disconnect, the game servers do. I have played MAG and Home tonight and both kept DCing.

Wireless or Ethernet?

Last night I kept having a problem with being signed out of the PSN it's self. I disabled the wireless and stuck an Ethernet cable in the back and it was stable for the rest of the night. If your router is near the PS3 then I suggest you give that a try first.

I found there is a small problem with DHCP over wireless with the PS3. After I hardcoded the IP address and -- more importantly -- the DNS servers, I never had any further problems.
